Edgewood’s new education center will provide a year-round setting for educational and research activities. It will provide a focal point for the community, a place where visitors can learn about the Preserve through exhibits, hear about and register for upcoming programs, ask questions of staff or volunteers, obtain printed information, use resource library materials, and have a chance to become involved in myriad volunteer programs. The center will help to promote direct community involvement with efforts to protect Edgewood and its exceptional natural resources.
Edgewood is a rich mosaic of species and habitats, a significant component in the larger mid-Peninsula region, and the focus of massive ecological restoration activity. The exhibits and displays will reveal these stories, beckoning visitors both young and older to hear the land speak.
