Directions

Edgewood County Park and Natural Preserve is located in the Emerald Hills neighborhood of Redwood City. The address of the main entrance is: 6 Old Stage Coach Road, Emerald Hills, CA 94062. The park is bordered by I-280, Edgewood Road, and the Emerald Hills residential area. There are three park entrances with parking available: the main entrance on Edgewood Road, west Edgewood Trailhead and Clarkia Trailhead.

Directions By Car

Main Entrance and Bill and Jean Lane Education Center

Note that parking is limited here–especially on the weekends.
From I-280, take the Edgewood Road exit 29. Turn east toward the bay, and continue on Edgewood Rd for about 1 mile. Turn right into the parking lot.

From Hwy 101, take the Whipple Ave exit and turn west toward the mountains. Continue on Whipple about 1.5 miles to the light at Alameda de las Pulgas, and turn right. At the next light, turn left onto Edgewood Rd. Continue on Edgewood about 2 miles and then turn left into the parking lot.

West Edgewood Trailhead

Note: there are no bathrooms at this entrance and parking can be limited on weekends.

From I-280, take the Edgewood Rd exit 29. Turn west toward the mountains and continue on Edgewood Rd. about .4 mile. Park near the intersection of Canada Road. Find the trailhead on the south side of Edgewood Road.

From Hwy 101, take the Whipple Ave exit and turn west toward the mountains. Continue on Whipple about 1.5 miles to the light at Alameda de las Pulgas, and turn right. At the next light, turn left onto Edgewood Rd. Continue on Edgewood about 3 miles until the road ends at a tee intersection with Cañada Rd. Park near the intersection of Canada Road. Find the trailhead on the south side of Edgewood Road.

Clarkia Trailhead

Note: there are no bathrooms at this entrance and parking can be limited on weekends. Avoid parking tickets — do not block bike lanes.

From I-280, take the Edgewood Rd exit 29. Turn west toward the mountains and continue until Edgewood Rd ends at a tee intersection with Cañada Rd. Turn left onto Cañada and look for the trailhead shortly after passing under I-280.

From Hwy 101, take the Whipple Ave exit and turn west toward the mountains. Continue on Whipple about 1.5 miles to the light at Alameda de las Pulgas, and turn right. At the next light, turn left onto Edgewood Rd. Continue on Edgewood about 3 miles until the road ends at a tee intersection with Cañada Rd. Turn left onto Cañada and look for the trailhead shortly after passing under I-280.
