FRIENDS OF EDGEWOOD NATURAL PRESERVE

June 6, 1994 On behalf of the San Mateo County Parks and Recreation Department, let me express our appreciation for your recent project work at Edgewood Park and Preserve. National Trails Day could not have presented a better opportunity for volunteer organizations like yours to provide assistance to our ranger staff. Efforts such as these reflect the cooperative nature which will be a key to future endeavors. Staff has reported to me that with your assistance, an approximate 325 feet of habitat barrier was installed along the Serpentine Loop Trail in an effort to both protect sensitive habitat and provide an opportunity for restoration of damage caused in the past. The time spent by you and your volunteers will hopefully speak well to those who follow. Again, let me express our deepest thanks for your genuine interest in managing Edgewood for our heritage. Respectfully, Patrick H. Sanchez, Director |
